In this section, you will find Good Practices description files that organizations have implemented in order to foster and support researchers towards FP7 or CIP.
Good Practices aiming at increasing the participation of researchers to EU programmes can be implemented at different levels:
•Methodological good practices are generally implemented at the level of the European Project Office. They refer to actions that are directly undertaken in cooperation with research teams.
•Organisational good practices refer to the internal and external organisational aspects of the European Project Office. E.g. structure of the office (managers, administrative officers, …), collaboration with a regional organism in charge of coordination activities of research projects for the account of universities and industry.
•Governance-type good practices are generally implemented at the regional level between the regional actors supporting innovation and research. E.g. structure of the steering committee of a cluster, an innovation agency, etc.
•Polices and strategies refer to the application of initiatives taken by public authorities to support the participation of research centres and universities to EU programmes.

By means of the two modalities, UC3M offers financial support that can be solicited during the elaboration of the proposal (modality A) or once the proposal is granted (modality B). Modality A finances part of the costs related to the preparation of proposals (from 750 to 2500 €). Modality B provides financial support for proposals successfully evaluated and granted. It intends to complete the budget allocated to UC3M teams in their applications.

Reviewing proposals prior to submission can be a great value service to researchers to increase their chances of success. Some Research Support Offices offer a proposal review service prior to submission to their researchers like Brunel University, Copenhagen Business School or the University of Lille. Given the efforts spent when buildign a proposal, the re-submission of a failed proposal after reengineering it on the basis of the evaluation feedback is an option to be considered.
